Participating in ministry...
Missions Fest Vancouver (MFV) is a tremendous melting pot of cultures, organizations, churches and businesses all focused on spreading the gospel globally. A 3-day annual event for 30+ years, we hear and learn much while building relationships across borders.
With some 160 supporting churches, close to 250 organizations plus hundreds of volunteers of all ages actively participating, MFV is a strong example of unity.
This past weekend thousands of people came to hear, learn, and participate in 100 seminars, visit 250 exhibits, enjoy the film festival and hear key note speakers.
We were privileged to host six seasoned leaders who spoke on Missionary Care. Living a healthy God focused life; recognizing and dealing with burnout; keeping work and life in balance; what Member Care is; stories from the mission field; and, learning to move from theory to practice in caring for missionaries.
Each speaker then joined our panel responding to audience questions.
The joy of this conference was that we all learned from godly experienced practitioners, sharing of their walk with God, challenging us deeply to take practical next steps in caring for ourselves and our cross cultural workers.
Thank you for praying with us and for us this past weekend. God was glorified!
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support as I face hip surgery in 2 weeks, as we lead a rapidly growing network, and as we continue to take faith steps in this beautiful Canada wide ministry of MK and Missionary family care.
May God’s favor and blessing rest upon each one of you!
